The events at Eicma 2008 - Salão de Milão
24/10 When we talk about EICMA 2008, we cannot overlook the highly prestigious supporting events that are scheduled to take place throughout the opening period of the Motorcycle Show and the Bicycle Show:
MotoLive is now a certainty. The "6-Day" is an eagerly anticipated comeback.
MotoLive will take place from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 November, on an outdoor area of 80,000 m2 entirely dedicated to shows, competitions, driving lessons. The Main Event at MotoLive 2008 will be a Supercross European Championship race.
In addition to this prestigious event, many exciting performances will be staged for the people visiting the Show, including an International Enduro race, an International Motard race and single-brand Enduro and Motard Trophy competitions. The best stuntmen in the world - C. Pfeiffer on a BMW, C. Jones on a Harley-Davidson and K. Carmichael on a Triumph - will engage in acrobatics, flanked by one of the best known Freestyle teams. A huge area will be dedicated to Acrobatic Trial with the drivers of the Show Action Group.
The MotoLive Paddock, the place where the public will have a chance to admire and "spy" the mechanics, the drivers, and the official teams participating in the most important championships in each discipline, at work.
An outstanding new feature of MotoLive will be a speed race: professional bikers will compete on a circuit specially created for the Show, to offer entertainment and emotions in a perfectly safe setting. Thus, EICMA becomes the only Trade Fair in the world to have a veritable speed track inside.
MotoLive becomes a full-fledged sports arena where 2-wheel vehicles can show their mettle.
MotoLive 2008 media partners will include: Radio Deejay, which, thanks to its animators, will involve the public in the exciting atmosphere of the event, and Moto TV, which will offer a non-encrypted program covering all the races live throughout the Show period.
At the same time, in pavilions 5 and 7, the Bicycle will offer an extraordinary event: a new edition of the "6-Day" of Milan, from 4 to 9 November.
A true Velodrome, 166 m long, has been built in pavilion 7. It is surrounded by capacious stands, to be flanked by the classical VIP box of fashionable events.
The "6-Day" will see the participation of Italy's road racing champions, headed by Paolo Bettini, and great foreign bikers, who will vie in the different specialties typically associated with this cycling event: derny, madison, chrono and points race.
We are happy to announce that the classical program will include a special event: the "Sprinter Cup", an extraordinary challenge between the fastest men in the world: Chris Hoy, triple champion at the Beijing Olympics, Arnaud Tournant, the biker with the greatest medals cache ever, Teun Mulder, standing start 1 km world champion, and many others.
Radio Capital will be the media partner of the "6-Day".
